Richard Gould will soon remove interim from his title as dean of the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering department at North Carolina State University.
Gould takes over as department head on Aug. 16, He had been interim dean for the past three years. He has taught at NCSU since 1987 after receiving a PhD in mechanical engineering at Purdue University.
Gould is a specialist in thermal sciences and has conducted research into ethanol engine development as well as electronics cooling.
