Hosted Solutions, a provider of data center and managed services, has more than doubled the size of its Raleigh data center with a 17,000 square foot expansion.
The facility now covers 31,000 square feet.
“Selecting the Raleigh site for data center expansion reinforces Hosted Solutions’ commitment to Raleigh and the state,” said Rich Lee, the company’s chief executive officer.
A key part of the expansion is a new network operations center. It features stadium seating and a multimedia “wall” for redundant monitoring. It will serve as the primary operations center for Hosted Solutions’ network, which includes data centers in Cary, Charlotte and just outside Boston, Mass.
The data center also includes a staging area where customers can import, build and test servers.
Also available are disaster recovery suites for companies that need to relocate operations. The suites range from 250 to 1,000 square feet.
