John Ford, an MD, is joining Pozen as the pharmaceutical firm’s chief medical officer.
Ford most recently worked as vice president of medical affairs at Adolor Corporation. Earlier in his career he worked at Pfizer, including a position as vice president of medical affairs, and as a vice president for arthritis and pain at G.D. Searle & Co.
“We believe Dr. Fort will be a great asset to the POZEN team as we continue to move our product candidates through development,” said Marshall Reese, Pozen’s executive vice president for product development. “Dr. Fort is an experienced physician who has worked in global and strategic portfolio units in the areas of gastroenterology, immunology, arthritis, pain and surgery.”
