Sonny Gupta, president and chief executive officer of Maintec Technologies, is the new president of The Indus Entrepreneurs Carolinas chapter.

Gupta succeeds Rajesh Rao, whose two-year term expired. Rao is CEO of IndUShealth.

“As a fellow entrepreneur, Sonny has a good first-hand appreciation of the challenges faced by entrepreneurs, and understands what TiE must do to continue to serve the needs of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in our community,” Rao said in a note to TiE members. “I am confident that our chapter will continue to evolve and thrive under Sonny’s guidance, and offer him my support in helping set and achieve its future goals.”

TiE Carolinas is part of an international organization that has 45 chapters in 10 countries and more than 12,000 members.
