LabCorp Names Chief Operating Officer

Don Hardison, a former executive with Exact Sciences Corporation, is the new chief operating officer at Laboratory Corporation of America.

Hardison will assume the post on Sept. 4.

At Exact, Hardison was chief executive officer as well as a director. He also has worked at Siebel Systems, Quest Diagnostics, SmithKline Beecham Corporation and SmithKline Beecham Clinical Laboratories.

“Don brings to this position a strong knowledge of the business, coupled with impressive sales, marketing, strategic, and operational capabilities,” said David King, LabCorp’s chief executive officer. “His unique ability to create a strong, team-oriented environment will assist the entire organization in continuing to effectively move toward the objectives established in our strategic plan.”
