The Advanced Technology Development Center and the Technology Association of Georgia are teaming up for a series of fundraising workshops.

The CapVenture series is designed to help early stage technology companies develop fundraising strategies.

“CapVenture is an excellent vehicle to leverage the fundraising experience of ATDC’s staff and some of the most successful entrepreneurs and venture dealmakers in the Southeast.,” said Charloess Ross, a former venture capital investor and a venture “catalyst” at the center. Participants will receive timely market information, customized coaching and experienced-based tools to create all of what is needed for successful angel or venture fundraising.”

The workshops also will include opportunities for companies to make their pitches to investors.

The series will take place on Tuesdays beginning October 2 at the ATDC office in midtown Atlanta.

Companies will be matched with “coaches” who are experienced business executives. Among them is Steve Bachman of Hi Tech Partners, the entrepreneur-in-residence at ATDC.

Registration is required, and the application deadline is Aug. 17.

ATDC has helped launch more than 100 companies since its founding in 1980.
