RTI International is expanding its overseas reach, opening an office in Barcelona, Spain.
The operation is part of RTI’s Health Solutions business unit and will focus on providing research and consulting services to pharmaceutical firms. The Health Solutions group also has offices in the United States, United Kingdom and Canada.
"The new office makes us more accessible to our European clients and collaborators," said Allen Mangel, senior vice president of RTI Health Solutions. "RTI Health Solutions has one of the largest and most experienced independent teams of epidemiology and safety experts in our field. The addition of our Barcelona colleagues better positions us to meet the growing pharmacoepidemiological needs of our clients."
The office includes four researchers in pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacovigilance and pharmaceutical risk management.
RTI Health Solutions, which was launched in 2000, has more than 155 employees.
