Billy Houghtelling’s title as interim director of the Office of Technology Transfer at N.C. State University has been changed.
“Interim” has been removed.
NCSU said Friday that Houghtelling would take on the job on a permanent basis. The change took effect July 1. He reports to John Gilligan, NCSU’s vice chancellor for research and graduate studies.
Houghtelling has worked at the technology transfer operation since 2002 and was named interim director last October. Before joining NCSU, he was a research scientist at Biolex, an NCSU spinoff.
