Carolinas HealthCare System has picked Peak 10 for a variety of data hosting services.
Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Peak 10 will provide CHS with Internet access, managed firewall and intrusion detection prevention and managed server. CHS also will utilize Peak 10 as an offsite data duplication center.
Peak10’s security and services provide us with the technological flexibility to host multi-center research data stores including participants like the Mayo Clinic, Ariz., Washington University, Mo. and the Greenville Hospital System, S.C.,” said Amy Lincourt, director of research for the Division of Gastrointestinal and Minimally Invasive Surgery at CHS. “We choose Peak 10 because of their ability to meet our security needs and also comply with the security standards of our academic partners at other healthcare institutions.”
Peak 10 operates data centers in Charlotte, Morrisville, N.C., Tampa and Jacksonville, Fla., Louisville, Ky., Nashville, Tenn., and Richmond, Va.
