Lenovo is teaming up with an Israeli company to offer enhanced data security features on its personal computers and laptops.

Safend, which is based in Tel Aviv, will provide Lenovo with what it calls an “endpoint information leakage prevention” solution.

"Industry analysts report that up to 70 percent of a company’s confidential data resides on corporate endpoints,” said Steve Petracca, general manager of Lenovo’s Software & Peripherals Business Unit. "Protecting that data is a prime concern for our customers. Safend’s endpoint ILP solutions provide the tools our customers need to protect their corporate assets without sacrificing their productivity."

Safend offers two products: Safend Protector and Safend Auditor.
