Cambia Security, a provider of compliance management solutions, has been sold.
nCircle, which offers security risk and compliance management solutions, closed on the acquisition of Cambia this week. Both companies are privately held.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Cambia had raised some $7.5 million in venture financing since its founding, according to Private Equity Wire.
Through acquiring Cambia, nCircle said it could offer customers an integrated solution for security risk, automated compliance and auditing.
"Cambia’s best-in-class, proven agentless configuration compliance technology enables nCircle to deliver a security risk and compliance management solution that is unparalleled in the market today," stated Abe Kleinfeld, nCircle’s chief executive officer. "Our customers have seen significant benefits from nCircle’s security risk solutions and are asking that we expand our agentless technology to address their configuration compliance challenges as well.
"This combination will transform the way enterprises perform these critical security and IT operations by providing a comprehensive solution for managing security risk and compliance," he added.
nCircle solutions are used at more than 3,500 enterprise customers, government agencies and service providers. The firm is based in San Francisco and has offices in London, Toronto and Tokyo as well as other regional operations the U.S.
