StrikeIron, a provider of Web services, is expanding its management team with a new chief financial officer and a vice president for marketing.
Brett Farabaugh, a former executive with life science company Icoria/Paradigm Genetics, takes over as CFO.
Robin Griffin, who has more than 15 years in product development and partner solutions, joins StrikeIron as the marketing executive.
The additions come after StrikeIron raised an additional $5 million inn venture financing in March.
“We could not have asked for better candidates with more relevant experience. With the background and proven leadership abilities that both Robin and Brett bring to the table, they are sure to have an immediate impact on StrikeIron’s success,” said Bob Brauer, StrikeIron’s chief executive officer and president.
Griffin has worked with such companies as Dun & Bradstreet (D&B), Sun Microsystems and Bell Atlantic/Tele-TV.
“Business more than ever needs fast, easy access to high quality data,” Griffin said in a statement. “Offering premium data services fills a real need in the market and I am excited to have the opportunity to apply my knowledge and experience to build on the success that StrikeIron has already achieved.”
Farabaugh was vice president of finance and served as CFO for Icoria, which was sold to Monsanto in 2005.
