AirDefense, a provider of wireless network security solutions, has won a contract with telecommunications giant BT in the United Kingdom.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

BT will utilize AirDefense to protect its wireless local area networks at 15 locations and will add other offices in Europe over the rest of this year.

“The evaluation and testing process was extremely rigorous and thorough and AirDefense was the clear cut winner,: said Ray Stanton, BT’s global head business continuity, security and governance. At BT we take security seriously and without AirDefense I wouldn’t be convinced that we could lock down our wireless networks from outside intrusions.”
