Thomas Nagy, president of Novozymes North America, is the new chairman of the Industrial Environmental Section Governing Body of the Biotechnology Industry Organization.

Nagy, who has led the Novozymes operation since 2004, will also serve on the BIO board of directors. He was selected at the BIO international convention in Boston.

Novozymes develops enzymes that are used in alternative fuel production, detergents and as food ingredients.

BIO includes more than 1,100 biotech companies, institutions, and other life science related organizations.
