LS networks, a broadband provider in Oregon, is the latest communications company to sign on to provide Ethernet services from Hatteras Networks.

Hatteras’ proprietary technology enables telecommunications and data service providers to offer network services at broadband speeds over existing infrastructure. Its Mid-Band products enable speeds at 10 megabits per second and faster.

“Hatteras Networks enables us to deliver a business-class upgrade alternative to T1s [1.54 megabits] to our retail customers that need higher performance, more scalable Ethernet-based services,” said Michael Weidman, chief executive officer LS Networks. “With these new capabilities, we can quickly and confidently roll out Mid-Band Ethernet services state-wide, providing our customers with services previously only available in metropolitan areas and over fiber.”
