Chris Howard, a former executive with Siemens Business Services, is the new managing partner at consulting firm Civitium.
Civitium works with clients such as municipalities and local governments to design and build wireless fidelity (WiFi) networks. Clients include the cities of Philadelphia and San Francisco.
Howard will replace company founder Greg Richardson, who will focus on strategic initiatives.
At Siemens, Howard served as senior vice president of global sales.
"Chris has excellent track record leading growth-stage businesses and has the operational scale to take Civitium to the next level," Richardson said in a statement. "He joins a team of pioneers in the emerging municipal broadband industry, and I am confident he will propel the company to new heights."
