Nineteen early-stage companies have been selected to present at the Council for Entrepreneurial Development’s 24th annual venture capital conference, Venture 2007.

With the additions, 41 companies will be discussing their technology, business plans and products. Companies from the Carolinas, Georgia and Maryland are among the latest selections.

Still to be selected are 10 pre-seed companies for an “Angel Investor Retreat” and 15 other startups for a “Speed Dating” session with potential investors.

Venture 2007 is set for April 23-25 at the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club in Durham.

The lates selections are:

• Addrenex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Durham, N.C.) Addrenex is a specialty pharmaceuticals company focused on developing and marketing drugs for adrenergic regulation.

• Adlyfe Inc. (Rockville, Md. – Adlyfe is a medical diagnostics company focused on bringing blood diagnostic products to the market for fatal brain diseases.

• Advanced Detection Technology (Clemmons, N.C. – Advanced Detection Technology is a provider of physical security access control solutions.

• Cognosci, Inc. (RTP, N.C. – Cognosci is a pharmaceutical discovery and development company focused on creating novel compounds with anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective activity.

• CPS Biofuels Inc. (Cary, N.C. – CPS Biofuels is focused on the development of proprietary processes to optimize biofuel alternatives.

• Digitalsmiths (Beaufort, S.C. – Digitalsmiths is a video search company providing solutions for advertising, user generated content and other consumer opportunities.

• ImagineOptix Inc. (Cary, N.C. – ImagineOptix is developing portable video projection devices.

• InnerOptic Technology, Inc. (Chapel Hill, N.C. – InnerOptic is a provider of advanced visualization systems for endoscopic surgery.
