BroadRiver, a provider of data center and managed services, has acquired most of the assets of LecStar Telecom and Fonix Telecom through bankruptcy proceedings.

LecStar and Fonix were based in Georgia. Both provided telecommunications services. The companies filed for bankruptcy last October.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

BroadRiver, which has a new, 15,000-square-foot data center in Atlanta, said it would use the assets and technology from LecStar and Fonix to offer telecommunications services based on Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP).
