ATLANTA – Tim Sullivan an IBM and Nortel veteran with more than 20 years of experience in the information technology industry, is the new chief technology officer for Internap.

Internap provides Internet delivery and other services designed to improve online performance.

Sullian also will be in charge of product development for Internap, which operates data and networking centers around the globe.

“Tim will ensure that Internap continues to deliver end-to-end technologies that make the Internet better for business,” said James DeBlasio, chief executive officer for Internap. “This is an exciting time for Internap and we look forward to his leadership in further enhancing our position as a leading technology company.”

After working for IBM and Nortel where he focused on data networking, Sullivan launched his own company, Connectware, in 1993. He later served as president of optical networking for Lucent. His most recent position was as CEO of CebaTech, which he helped launch. CebaTech provides compiler technology for hardware designs and software implementations.
