CARY, N.C. – Maverick Endeavors, an integrated strategy, marketing and sales consulting firm, is the latest sponsor to sign on to support a grant program offered by NC IDEA.
NC IDEA, is a venture capital and economic development firm based in Research Triangle Park. Its grant program is designed to help fledgling businesses move toward commercialization of product ideas.
Six companies are participating as sponsors.
Other participants include Square 1 Bank, accounting firm Hughes Pittman Gupton and law firms Hutchison Law Group, Kennedy Covington and Smith Anderson.
“We have always had commitment to the venture-backed entrepreneurial community,” said Scott Place, resident of Maverick Endeavors. “NC IDEA is a tremendous resource for very early-stage companies, and we’re proud to be part of their grants program.”
NC IDEA launched the grant program in 2006, making 11 awards to 120 applicants.
