CHARLOTTE, N.C. – General Dynamics Armament and Technical products group has won a $32 million contract for biothreat detection systems.

The joint biological point detection systems were ordered by the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Acquisition Center. The first contract for the systems was awarded in 2004.

The systems are available in various models and can be configured to meet requirements of all the armed forces. The systems will be produced at the General Dynamics facility in Charlotte.
