GREENVILLE, S.C. – Cytec Industries, a manufacturer of advanced chemicals, polymers and advanced carbon fibers and composites for use in the aerospace and automotive industries, has decided to expand its Cytec Engineered Materials facilities in Greenville, S.C. and add an estimated 225 jobs.

Cytec said Thursday it would invest $150 million in the project. The company modernized its Greenville facility last year, adding 60 jobs and increasing production capacity by 33 percent. Cytec already employs nearly 290 people in Greenville and Rock Hill.

Construction is expected to begin in 2008 and be completed in 2010. The new facility will be built next to the existing Greenville plant.

Cytec, which is based in New Jersey, reported revenues of $3.3 billion in 2006.
