RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Talecris Plasma Resources opened a plasma collection center in Champaign, Ill. On Tuesday. It’s the first center the subsidiary of Talecris Biotherapeutics has opened since launching as a new business in November.
In all, Talecris owns 58 centers, most acquired through acquisition.
Talecris collects plasma at the centers and uses it for immunology, pulmonology and hemostasis products. Donors are compensated for their plasma.
