RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – GlaxoSmithKline will pay drug maker Watson Pharmaceuticals $35 million to settle a patent lawsuit, The Associated Press and MarketWatch reported on Monday.

GSK agreed to the payment as well as a license that includes royalties for the antidepressant Wellbutrin XL.

Andrx sued GSK in 2005, charging patent infringement, saying that the 150-milligram dose of the drug infringed on an Andrex patent. Watson Pharmaceuticals recently acquired Andrx.
