Companion Data Services Wins $200M+ Contract, To Add Jobs

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Companion Data Services will be adding jobs in two different locations after landing a six-year contract worth more than $200 million from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

Companion Data is a subsidiary of Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina. The firm provides Medicare claims processing in 30 states as well as Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico.

Some 10 new jobs will be added at the company’s head quarters in Columbia and another 40 will be added at a program management office in Dallas
