True to its name, the Southeast Venture Conference will present a lineup of 27 companies from five different states at its inaugural event on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.

The SEVC disclosed its final invitation list this week. It includes firms from North Carolina, Virginia, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee.

"We’ve got 27 of the Southeast’s most exciting technology companies scheduled to present at the SEVC," said Eric Gregg, executive director of the conference. "With over $44 billion in investment capital represented, we’re exciting about the opportunities available for companies in attendance."

A sellout crowd is expected for the event, which will take place at the new Umstead Hotel & Spa in Cary.
