CheckFree, a provider of various services to financial institutions, is acquiring Dallas-based Carreker Corp. in a deal worth $206 million.
CheckFree (NASDAQ: CKFR) will pay $8.05 per share for Carreker (NASDAQ: CANI). Carreker provides payments processing software and consulting. It has more than 250 clients around the world and reported $116.6 million in revenues for fiscal year 2005.
