DURHAM, N.C. — Cree, a developer of light-emitting diode technology, is broadening its patent infringement lawsuit against California-based BridgeLux.
Cree now claims BridgeLux has infringed on four of its patents. The latest two additions cover patents for contact structures within the LEDs that improve the spread of electrical current.
Cree’s action is a countersuit to one field by BridgeLux in federal court in Texas. Cree is seeking an injunction to stop what it calls “BridgeLux’s on-going infringement.”
