VC South, a private equity firm, has invested in startup NTerVu, a company focused on job interview technology.

“The Science of Interviewing” is NTerVu’s marketing slogan.

Both companies are based in Atlanta.

Terms of the investment were not disclosed.

NTerVu offers hiring managers an online tool to create custom interviewing questionnaires covering core competencies as well as behavioral-based questions.

The tool also allows candidates to be viewed “side by side.”
Clients include AT&T, HP, Monster, Microsoft and Bloomberg, according to NTerVu’s Website.

In addition to its investment, VC South provided NTerVu with assistance in developing the product as well as customer service support.

“VC South provided unique advantages to us beyond the funding,” said April Basile of NTerVu.

VC South also provided access to more than 350,000 human resources executives through another VC South portfolio company.

NTerVu is offered as a software as a service system. The company offers a free 30-day trial.

“We are pleased to invest in NTerVu which helps any manager interview and hire better,” said Michael Price, managing director of VC South. “Almost every manager has made a bad hire at some point and the cost of bad hires is high. Research has shown increasing numbers of companies are using behavior-based methods to screen applicants. NTerVu enables any manager to become an instant pro at interviewing and selecting the best possible candidate.”
