LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Alltel Wireless is adding Fayetteville, N.C. to the markets included in its broadband wireless network coverage area.
The service is already available in the Raleigh-Durham market.
The Axcess Broadband offering offers average speeds of between 400-700 kilobits per second with bursts up to 2.4 megabits, similar to landline services such as cable and digital subscriber line.
Alltel first offered the service in 2005. It costs $59.99 per month for users who also have Alltel voice plans.
