CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Scientigo, a company focused on local and mobile search technology as well as enhanced directory assistance services, has a new chief executive officer.

Harry Pettit, who has an extensive background in directory assistance and telecommunications, took over as CEO this week. He replaces Doyal Bryant, who left on Oct. 23. Bryant remains a board member.

However, the company also lost its chief financial officer and chief operating officer.

Dennis Bunt resigned as CFO, the company said Thursday. No replacement was named.

Cynthia White, the COO and company president, has taken a leave of absence, the company added. In a statement, she said she planned a “quick return” to the company.

Pettit helped create the 411 directory assistance platform and at one time was chief executive officer of Bell Atlantic Asia Pacific. He also worked at IBM for nearly 30 years.
