DULUTH, Ga. — Rudy Mazzocchi, an executive with 25 years of experience in the medical technology industry, is the newest venture partner at Accuitive Medical Ventures.
The venture capital firm with $150 million under management.
Mazzocchi also will serve as vice president for business development at The Innovation Factory, a new business incubator operated by AMV.
His most recent position as chairman and interim chief executive officer at Triton BioSystems, a firm researching the use of nanotechnology in cancer therapy. He co-founded Image-Guided Neurologics, a neurosurigcal device company acquired by Medtronic in 2005.
Mazzocchi replaces Michael Partsch, a managing director of AMV. Partsch left the firm to pursue other interests, AMV said in a statement.
