RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — Moshe Feder, a senior research statistician at RTI International, recently was elected to the International Statistical Institute.

ISI membership is based on what the group calls significant contributions to the development or application of statistical methods, the administration of statistical services, or the development and improvement of statistical education.

“This is a great honor for Moshe,” said Sally Morton, vice president of Statistics and Epidemiology at RTI International. “Moshe was elected by virtue of his distinguished contributions to statistical methodology. We are very proud that Moshe’s accomplished career has led him here to us.”

Feder has worked at RTI since 2000. Earlier in his career he taught and conducted research in statistics at the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom and Statistics Canada. He received a doctorate degree in mathematics from the Israel Institute of Technology.
