RALEIGH, N.C. — Gary Stelmack, a game designer at Red Storm Entertainment, will deliver a lecture about game balancing at Wake Tech Community College on Nov. 29.

Wake Tech offers a variety of courses to students wanting to enter the gaming industry. The lecture is free and sponsored by the National Science Foundation.

Stelmack is a nine-year veteran at Red Storm, which is based in Morrisville and is owned by Ubisoft. He has had key roles in several of the company’s high-profile titles, ranging from quality assurance and scripter to lead designer and lead multiplayer designer. Among titles he has worked on are “Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon,” “Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Desert Siege” and “Ghost Recon: Island Thunder.” He also has worked on the multiplayer Ghost Recon 2 version and was designer for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. He also has worked on the design and balance of weapons in Rogue Spear and Ghost Recon games.
