CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Robert McLemore, founder and president of HouseRaising, Inc., died on Nov. 23, the company announced Monday.

McLemore created the software program designed to help builders in the custom home industry. He was 63.

HouseRaising was launched in 1999, and McLemore sought patent coverage for his program. He spent more than 40 years in the housing industry. The software, called System C, is used by builders in the Carolinas and Gulf states.

The company trades over the counter under the symbol HRAI.OB.
