LADSON, S.C. — Force Protection, a developer of high-tech vehicles designed to protect occupants from explosive devices such as mines, has signed on Aerospace & Defense Group of Armor Holdings as a production partner.

Aerospace & Defense Group will work with Force Protection to produce Cougar vehicles.

Last week, Force Protection signed General Dynamics as a production partner and also delivered its first vehicles to the United Kingdom’s military forces.

Force Protection vehicles have been in use since 2004 and have protected occupants from more than 1,000 mine detonations and improvised explosive devices.
