RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — Roy Whitmore, interim vice president for the social sciences division of the Statistics and Epidemiology unit at RTI international, can remove “interim” from his title.

Whitmore had held the post on an interim basis for the past year. His responsibilities include education research, international studies, mapping and sampling services, program evaluation, outcome measurement and survey research.

“We are very pleased Roy accepted becoming our division vice president for Social Sciences,” said Sally Morton, RTI’s vice president of Statistics and Epidemiology. “His tenure at RTI has been characterized by excellent scholarship, collaboration across programs and units, and support for all his colleagues be they newcomer or veteran.”

Whitmore has worked at RTI since 1980. He earned a PhD in statistics from Texas A&M University.
