CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Transfusion & Transplantation Technologies, or 3Ti, won the early-stage company “Shootout” at the recent Southeast BIO Investor Forum in Atlanta.

3Ti is a spin-out of Emory University. It is commercializing automated multi-analyzers and other instrumentation that can be used by blood banks and blood centers.

The Shootout featured four companies making investment pitches to a panel of venture capitalists.

More than 430 people attended the conference, including an estimated 100 investors.

The 2007 Southeast BIO Forum will be Nov. 6-8 at the Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, N.C.
