GREENSBORO, N.C. — Quarterly sales for RM Micro (Nasdaq: RFMD) climbed to a record $264.9 million in the third quarter, but the manufacturer of radio gear for wireless telecom and other uses still reported a loss.
A $33.9 million loss attributed to the sale of Jazz Semiconductor pushed RF Micro to a 10-cent per share loss.
RF Micro’s revenues were up 39 percent from the same quarter in 2005, driven by sales to wireless handset manufacturers and increased demand for its radio frequency semiconductors, cellular transceivers and transmit modules.
