CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Craig Silverstein, the first employee of search engine giant Google and the company’s chief technology officer, will be in the Triangle on Thursday about the future of search technology and organizing the world’s data.

Silverstein will be making his presentation at the University of North Carolina’s Medical Biomolecular Research Building. The program is to start at 4 p.m.

Silverstein is scheduled to talk about making more information available and searchable, expert-ranking techniques as well as mobile computing.

His remarks will precede a panel discussion including several UNC experts on Internet, library and data technology plus social networking.
