ALPHARETTA, GA. — Civitium, a provider of consulting services for wireless broadband efforts in communities around the U.S., worked recently with the city of Riverside, Calif. On a project with AT&T.

The project includes unlimited free access plus “digital inclusion” services such as computers that will be provided through the non-profit organization SmartRiverside.

Civitium worked with the city in negotiations with three respondents to a request-for-proposal.

A pilot project covering two square miles will be deployed before a plan to cover the city’s entire 55 square miles is deployed by late 2007.

Civitium has also worked on wireless projects in Philadelphia, San Francisco, Chicago, Houston and other cities.
