RALEIGH, N.C. — Software giant SAS software ranks third in Grant Thornton’s annual “North Carolina 100” list of privately held companies.
Grant Thornton has published the list for more than 20 years. It is featured in Business North Carolina magazine.
The International Group of Raleigh, which does business as General Parts, ranked first. The firm distributes auto parts.
Wholesale distributors made up 32 percent of the list followed by manufacturing at 24 percent and construction at 14 percent.
