DULUTH, GA. — Ten-year-old DataPath has won the biggest contract in the company’s history — a $181 million deal with the U.S. Army.

DataPath, a provider of satellite and wireless communications networks, will build a satellite network for the Army’s Joint Network Node project through the Army’s Communications and Electronics Command.

The contract includes more than 300 satellite transportable terminals, four unit hub satellite communications trucks and spares kits. DataPath also will provide maintenance and training personnel.

Work on the project will begin in the fourth quarter.
