RESARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — RTI International will dedicate its new science and engineering building at a ceremony on Sept. 27.

The 78,000 square foot facility, which cost $20 million, is RTI’s largest construction project to date. It will be named in honor of Earl Johnson Jr., chairman of RTI’s board of governors. He also is chairman of Southern Industrial Constructors.

RTI will use the building for research into nanotechnology, energy, environmental technology, aerosol technologies, analytical chemistry and projects linked to homeland security.
