FRANKLINTON, N.C. — Garrett Screws, Jr., a 15-year veteran of Novozymes, is the new U.S. governmental relations manager for the biotechnology company.
Screws will be responsible for managing relationships with federal and state governments as well as trade organizations. A scientist, he has worked for the company since 1991 in several different positions.
Novozymes’ North American operation is based in Franklinton. The company produces enzymes and microorganisms.
Screws is a graduate of North Carolina State University. He also holds 15 patents.
