DULUTH, GA. — DataPath, a provider of satellite and wireless networks, is one of six prime contractors picked by the U.S. Army fort the Department of Defense’s worldwide satellite systems program.

The contract covers five years and is worth as much as $5 billion.

The network is for use by Defense and other federal agencies.

Under the program, contractors will provide hardware, software and networking solutions.
