RALEIGH, N.C. — Susan Seymour, the founding director of the N.C. Community College BioNetwork, retired on Friday.
Seymour was a state employee for 31 years. She helped launch the biotech initiative 2 ½ years ago.
The BioNetwork provides specialized education and training related to biotechnology.
“As I travel in this country and in others, I am almost always asked about BioNetwork, and what we have accomplished in such a short time,” said Martin Lancaster, president of the community college system. “It would not have been possible without Susan.”
