RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — StrikeIron is expanding the range of web services available through its Marketplace site.

The 12 additional offerings are designed to provide on-demand access to a variety of data for multiple applications.

“Inaccurate and incomplete data can be costly and tedious to correct for millions of businesses, and even more costly over time if left unaddressed,” said Bob Brauer, president and co-founder of StrikeIron. “By offering real-time access to multiple data sources in a consistent, standardized way, we are able to help our customers resolve these issues without the traditional integration costs of in-house software, while simultaneously enabling a whole new class of real-time applications.”

The services include: barcode reader; business verification; business credit check; currency rates; geographic location information for businesses; global address locator; data for use in “geocoding” of U.S. addresses; real estate amortization; real-time telephone verification; weather by city; world business demographics; and zip codes by coordinates.

StrikeIron is also making available sample Microsoft Excel workbooks that permit drag-and-drop access of real-time data.
