CARY, N.C. — Research Triangle Software is rolling out CryptoLock, a new version of encryption software that contains additional security features and what it calls an easy to use interface.

“We are excited to now offer a more versatile encryption product that will meet the security standards of more corporations and individuals,” said Jeffrey LeRose, president and chief executive officer of RTS. “CryptoLock is the result of listening to our customers security needs.”

Features include a drag-and-drop interface for easier encryption of files as well as entire directories; six different encryption methods; two means of compression; and the ability to create self-extracting archives that can be decrypted on any Microsoft Windows based computer without having to install CryptoLock.
