CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Peak 10, which operates seven data centers in five different cities, recently reviewed emergency management plans ahead of the 2006 hurricane season.

The company also has updated information about disaster recovery service offerings.

“With the increased number of hurricanes in the past two years, more organizations are realizing the importance of being prepared,” said Jeff Biggs, vice president of operations and engineering for Peak 10. “We take our responsibility as a disaster recovery partner seriously and have tested our emergency plan in all data centers to ensure Peak 10 can maintain the security and availability of our customers’ technology infrastructure, data and applications in the event of a disaster.”

The review focused on providing a fully monitored and managed facility at all times, ensuring access of multiple Internet service providers as well as facility-to-facility connectivity over the firm’s own network, and generator refueling processes.
